DESCRIPTION:On 9/11\, the world stopped. On 9/12\, their stories moved us all. \n\nCome From Away is based on the true story of the time when the isolated community of Gander\, Newfoundland\, played host to the world. What started as an average day in a small town turned into an international sleepover\, when 38 planes\, carrying thousands of people from around the globe\, were diverted to Gander’s airstrip on September 11\, 2001. DESCRIPTION:We moved our Season Kickoff from September 17 to October 28 so more of you would be back from your travels and able to join us.\nJoin us as we officially kick off a new season at FAB and bring our members\, partners and friends from across Broward’s arts community together. \n\n5–6 PM | Cocktail Reception\nWe’ll begin on Northern Trust’s beautiful terrace overlooking Las Olas with cocktails and delicious bites. Reconnect with fellow FAB members\, welcome some of our newest members and mingle with friends from our local arts and cultural community. \n\n6–7 PM | Season Kickoff Program\nFAB President Denise St. Patrick Bell will welcome guests and share an overview of the year ahead\, share a very special announcement\, and learn what’s taking shape for FAB\, our members and the arts organizations we support.
