Funding Arts Broward (FAB!) is seeking a motivated intern to assist with communications and social media for the organization. Interns will learn the inner workings of a non-profit funding organization and gain experience regarding communications with members, arts organizations/applicants, press and the general public. The position will begin immediately and continue through the fall with an opportunity to renew in the spring following a performance review. Interns should expect to work 2-5 hours/week, most of which can be done remotely after initial introduction period. College students, artists and other professionals welcome to apply.
Position description:
Admin duties such as filing, scanning, calendar maintenance
Drafting and scheduling email communications
Updating and generating web content
Managing social media presence
Qualifications:
Microsoft Office, Facebook and Google Calendar/Drive skills are required.
Working knowledge of Twitter, Pinterest, and Linked In platforms preferred.
Must be pro-active, self-directed, detail-oriented and organized.
Must be able to handle irregular schedule and remain focused on multiple concurrent projects.
Must possess capacity to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Should have a strong interest in the arts and local arts organizations.
