FAB Grantee Event: FLIFF Presents: Influenced

July 1 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

USA, 2026, Comedy, 88 Minutes

Influenced   is a satirical comedy directed by Rachel Israel that follows Dzanielle, a wealthy Upper East Side social-media influencer obsessed with growing her online following. Surrounded by status-conscious friends, luxury lifestyles, and the performative culture of New York’s influencer elite, she spends her days chasing validation, sponsorships, and the elusive milestone of one million followers.  As Dzanielle navigates a world of superficial relationships and relentless self-promotion, she begins to realize how disconnected she has become from genuine human connection. Her pursuit of internet fame takes an unexpected turn when she forms a real friendship that challenges her priorities and forces her to confront the difference between online influence and authentic self-worth. Through sharp humor and social commentary, the film explores modern influencer culture, identity, friendship, and the search for authenticity in an increasingly curated world.

Influenced   is a hilariously foul-mouthed, warm-hearted satire of New York City’s Upper East Side “influencer” culture. Featuring an all-star ensemble cast including David Krumholtz, Justin Bartha, Christine Taylor, Laura Bell Bundy, Jessica Capshaw, Eugene Cordero and Dan Hedaya – plus hilarious cameos by Drew Barrymore, Jason Biggs, Gwyneth Paltrow and Matt Damon.

Influenced celebrated its world premiere at the Miami Jewish Film Festival
