FAB Grantee Program: BLINC: Sankofa Book Club

Celebrate Pride Month with special edition of the SANKOFA Book Club inspired by the memoir, The Rsk It Takes to Bloom: on Life and Liberation, a powerful story of courage, transformation,  and authenticity.

Presented in partnership with BLINC (Black LGBTQ+ Liberation. Inc.), this session will be facilitated by G. Wight, Co-Founder and Executive Director of BLINC, who will guide the discussion and moderate a panel exploring the book’s central themes

The afternoon begins with a live performance and continues with an engaging conversation on identity, resilience and liberation. Join us as we uplift black LGBTQ+ voices in literature and share stories that inspire empowerment, reflection and community connection.

Panelists:

Camille Danyell Lewis, Executive Director ColorNRaw, advocate for HIV prevention and LGBTQ+ communities, and founder of Miami’s Transllumanti program.

Brayland M. Brown, MBA Founder Visibility 365 and Brown Bag Group, Co-Founder anCPIO of The Smile Trust, and Board President of Transinclusive Group
