Join New City Players and the South Florida Theatre League for an intimate evening with playwright and author Rachel Bublitz in the very theater where her play Burst is running!
Rachel’s new book, How to Build a Playwright in Three Acts, is a practical guide to the craft of playwriting covering dramatic structure, the elements of a compelling play, and how to build and sustain a creative writing practice.
Rachel will draw from the book in a live lecture and Q&A designed for playwrights, actors, directors, theatre students, and anyone curious about how a play gets made from the inside out. Whether you’re writing your first play or your fifteenth, there’s never a bad time to go back to the fundamentals.
Copies of How to Build a Playwright in Three Acts will be available for purchase and signing after the event.

Rachel Bublitz is an award-winning, internationally produced playwright whose work has been seen at theaters across the United States, Canada, England, Ireland, and Australia.
