MUSIC MATTERS

FAB’s grants promote artistic expression and create inclusive spaces. FAB SUPPORTS community-based music initiatives, SUSTAINS the creation and performances of high-quality music works, and ENCOURAGES the growth of talent in our arts music community.

Funding Arts Broward grants have been essential in the operations of The South Florida Pride Concert Band. Due to their generosity, our Youth Band initiative has thrived and our concerts have been propelled to a whole new level through their aid in funding guest artists.

Who FAB Serves in the Music Community

Non-Profit Music Organizations

FAB is proud to support our diverse music arts organizations. From Japan Arts’ taiko drum beats of an ancient culture, to the symphonies that have defined eras and the magic of Opera – from the maturing voices of Florida’s Singing Sons and The Girls Choir, to the Master Chorale of South Florida, FAB supports these and many more diverse music organizations.

Educational Programs

Through FAB’s Music Art Education Grants, we are exposing children to the world of music, teaching music skills to underserved populations, and participating in the academic, emotional, and social development of children.

Cultural Institutions

FAB funds cultural institutions that offer a variety of music experiences, ensuring a rich cultural environment for residents and visitors. These institutions contribute to and maintain the vibrancy and diversity of our community’s music scene. Cultural institutions, like the Broward Center for Performing Arts, also provide business guidance to emerging music organizations like “Brazilian Voices.” FAB is proud to support both of these organizations that make up the arts ecosystem.

Community Members

We engage the general public through accessible and inclusive music events and programs. This helps build a strong and supportive community that comes together to celebrate the art of music.

FAB has played an integral part in the success of the Gold Coast Jazz Society by providing not only funding support for our programs but has also afforded greater exposure of our organization and its programs to the broad base of FAB members and friends. Our FAB grant provided us with the needed matching funds to pay the musician’s fees for many of our jazz concerts and for our jazz education program. With the loss of state grant funding, these funds are now more important than ever!
