An Invitation | Lunch & Learn: “Replayed Bodies: Hockey’s Enforcers and the Spectacle of Damage”
You are invited to a special Lunch & Learn event presented in partnership with FAU’s School of Communication & Multimedia Studies. Join us for an engaging exploration of sports, memory, and identity through the lens of experimental film.
Featured Presentation:
Shane Eason, Director of the School of Communication & Multimedia Studies at FAU, will introduce and discuss the experimental short film trilogy SIN BIN. This series reimagines the lives of hockey’s notorious “enforcers”—Stu Grimson, Derek Boogaard, and Tiger Williams—using fragmented found footage, manipulated archival material, and repetition to interrogate the intersections of sport, masculinity, and bodily collapse.
