Cynical weatherman Phil Connors heads to small-town Punxsutawney to cover the annual Groundhog Day festivities—only to find himself trapped reliving the same day over and over again. As frustration turns to reckless abandon and then unexpected self-discovery, Phil must confront his flaws, embrace compassion, and win the heart of producer Rita.
