FAB’s grants promote artistic expression and create inclusive spaces. FAB SUPPORTS inclusive community-based dance initiatives, SUSTAINS the creation of high-quality dance works, and ENCOURAGES the growth of talent in our arts dance community.
Who FAB Serves in the Dance Community
Non-Profit Dance Organizations
FAB funds non-profit entities that produce and present high-quality dance performances. South Florida is home to several talented dance companies including Dance NOW! Miami, a contemporary dance company and ballet companies, Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, Miami City Ballet, and South Florida Ballet Theater.
Educational Programs
Our support of local children’s ballet companies help integrate dance into the community while promoting dance education. In 2023, FAB was proud to support the Broward Center when they introduced thousands of Broward’s students to STEP Afrika! a national renowned company. Step Afrika! promotes stepping as an education tool for young people.
Cultural Institutions
FAB funds cultural institutions that offer a variety of dance experiences. FAB is proud to be supporting the Broward Performing Arts Foundation with a 2025 grant to help fund MOMIX’s newest show “Alice!”. Known internationally for presenting works of astounding inventiveness and physical beauty, MOMIX is a company of dance-illusionists founded and directed by Moses Pendleton. Bringing high quality internationally renowned dance companies to our community plays a crucial role in supporting Broward’s arts ecosystem.

Financial Support
FAB provides crucial financial assistance to dance organizations, allowing them to produce high-quality performances and sustain their operations. This funding helps cover artists salaries, choreography, costumes, and other essential program expenses.
