Funding Arts Broward, Inc. (FAB) is dedicated to the cultural enrichment of Broward County. By supporting visual and performing arts organizations, our goal is to fund creative and innovative performances, productions, and exhibitions that will stimulate the minds and capture the imaginations of our community’s diverse audiences. We encourage the development of new projects and programs that engage audiences and heighten their appreciation of the arts.  FAB is also offering Education Grants, dedicated to art appreciation and skill acquisition for grades K through 12.

Grant Process

A competitive annual grant process awards grants to Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade County-based nonprofit, visual, music, and performing arts organizations that present high quality programs in Broward County and meet the FAB eligibility requirements.

Grant finalists are selected through a rigorous screening process by member volunteer screening teams.  Our organization provides training in grant evaluation to its members. Grant recipients are determined by a majority vote of the full membership by ballot.

Funding Criteria for Performance and Visual Arts Grants

FAB provides grant support to small, mid-sized, and large professional performing and visual arts organizations.  Each applicant organization may submit only one application for a single proposal for a Visual and Performing Arts Grant. If your organization has an annual budget of $500,000 or more, you may request a maximum grant of $15,000. If your annual budget is under $500,000, you may request a maximum grant of $12,500. If your annual budget is under $100,000, you may request a maximum of $7,500.

Organizations with revenue under $50,000, as reported on their most recent 990, are not eligible.

Each applicant may also submit an application for an Education Grant.
