Association of Performing Arts of IndiaCelestial Sound of Sitar Featuring Krishna Mohan Bhatt on Sitar, to be held at the Broward County Main Library Auditorium. The public will experience the spiritual quality of a master performance of Indian Classical music. |

Brazilian VoicesBrazilian Voices “From Brazil to the World” A cultural and educational program for children and adults. This program combines media projection and live musical performances to explore cultural aspects of Brazil such as geography, history, economy, technology, and nature conservation, among other topics. |

Broward Performing Arts FoundationJerusalem Symphony Orchestra Led by acclaimed guest conductor Dmitry Yablonsky, the orchestra will kick off its 80th Anniversary tour in Fort Lauderdale with a dynamic performance that will include masterworks of the classical repertoire. Chameleon MusiciansVirtuoso Vibrations A myriad of marvelous musicians and an inspirational and innovative repertoire. Performers will include the internationally renowned pianist Kemal Gekic, the Amernet String Quartet,cellist Iris van Eck and guests. A champagne reception concludes each concert. |

City Theatre21st Annual Summer Shorts: America’s Short Play Festival (1) Shorts Gone Wild: Groundbreaking, award winning program of short plays relevant to the LGBT community; (2) Short Cuts: Anti-Bullying Tour targeting young audiences. 3) City Reads For Citywrights: A series of free play-readings and discussions where community venues transform into our literary living room. |

Coral Springs Museum of ArtSandra Muss Artist Exhibition The Museum brings international, national, state and South Florida artists to its location in northwest Broward County, the only major cultural center west of 95. *DingginDinggin’s Holiday Musicals A series of holiday musicals to benefit the senior residents of Broward County. Dinggin will produce and perform a repertoire in different languages, including traditional holiday songs from the Philippines, Spain, and Israel. *new grantees |

Fantasy Theatre FactoryTouring Theatre Outreach for Youth & Community Audiences Provides 35 theatre performances for family audiences in 25 community venues (libraries, theatres, community-centers, etc.) throughout Broward. Five of these will be presented at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Programs are provided free of charge to audiences, reaching over 5,000 children. Grant Partner: Northern Trust |

Florida Youth OrchestraSpotlight Family Concert 2016 A family concert at Coral Springs Center for the Art. Performed by over 200 of the county’s most gifted young musicians, including an assortment of selected young soloists, the program will include lively and varied classical repertoire. Gold Coast Jazz Society2016 Winter Season of Jazz This project will include 5 mainstage jazz concerts held from January through May at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, featuring internationally renowned jazz artists and local professional jazz musicians and one free jazz outreach concert. Inside Out Theatre CompanyThe Who’s Tommy Inside Out Theatre’s Advanced Ensemble will perform “The Who’s Tommy” in collaboration with the The School of Rock of West Broward”. The musical will be used to explore our society’s obsession with celebrity and fame as well as the triumph of the human spirit. |

Miami City BalletPaul Taylor’s Sunset MCB presents the company premiere of Paul Taylor’s Sunset (1983) with score by Edward Elgar, a poignant look at camaraderie among soldiers and their abandoned sweethearts. Grant Partner: Bonnie E. Eletz |

NSU Museum of Art Fort LauderdaleBellisima: Italy and High Fashion 1945-68 from Maxxi Rome “Bellissima” presents over 230 vintage garments and accessories by Valentino, Ferragamo, Pucci, et al, alongside paintings and film representing the remarkable period of creativity in postwar Italy. Financed by the Marshall Plan, Italian designers forged a chic and comfortable couture for the new, emancipated woman. Grant Partner: The Helen Ingham Foundation |

Old Dillard Foundation2016 Cannonball Jazz Series The Cannonball Jazz Series honors the legacy of a former Broward County Public Schools music teacher who became an internationally known musician and band leader. Seraphic Fire2016 Broward County Season Seraphic Fire, South Florida’s professional chamber choir, will present 5 concerts of under-performed choral and/or orchestral works in Broward County. *South Florida Symphony OrchestraThe Power, the Drama and the Joy The South Florida Symphony’s Maestra Sebrina Alfonso brings together a distinguished ensemble to present Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. Guest soloist Eileen Strempel and the Master Chorale of South Florida explore the emotion of joy and its origins through Beethoven’s distinctive “Freude” melody that itself is based on Schiller’s “Ode to Joy”. *new grantees

The Girl Choir of South FloridaHarmony and Discord The program will explore the conflicts and consequences of war. It will follow a musical trajectory of the initiation of conflict through to the resolution of peace, with all choristers joining in “Dona Nobis Pacem” at the close of the performance. |

Young At Art Museum2016 YAA Artist Collaborative Enabling emerging and established visual artists to share their creative energies through pop-up installations, demonstrations and workshops.
